The Beginning… John and Fannie Beiler began making candles in their basement in the late 60’s. Their candle making business expanded so rapidly that they moved the candle operation three times before settling in the Village of Intercourse. The initial building, built in 1982, consisted of 12,000 square feet.
Today… the building consists of approximately 28,000 square feet and has owned and operated by the Hurst family for the past 20 years.
For Over 40 Years… Local craftsmen at The Old Candle Barn have been hand pouring and dipping candles still using the same old fashion methods. We retail our candles on the premises as well as wholesale our product throughout the US.
